What’s happening on the Singapore stage this month
From 9 to 11 December, audiences can experience Lightwire Theater’s A Very Electric Christmas , a family-friendly show that combines light technology, dance and puppetry, set to a selection of hit holiday songs. Performed in complete darkness, the show is recommended for children aged five and above. Since their 2012 appearance as semi-finalists on America’s Got Talent , Lightwire Theater has become internationally recognised for its signature brand of electroluminescent artistry and storytelling. MERRY MUSIC From 16 to 18 December, get into the Christmas mood with a selection of yuletide favourites – think “ White Christmas ” and “ It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year ”, plus songs from Home Alone – at the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) Christmas Concert . Conducted by Joshua Tan, the show will feature the Singapore Symphony Chorus and the Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir. Oh, and there’s a special sing-along segment, too!
