We’ve had many clients coming to us who are relocating and who’ve taken the opportunity to sneak a few pieces into their containers!” Black & Rattan The darkest of tones is making a big splash right now in the world of furniture and homeware, according to Denise. “The dining tables, television consoles and sideboards we offer are solid timber and have been painted black by our team of craftsman in the Southeast Asia region. Many of the products still retain the natural texture and elements of the wood – these are proving to be very popular.” And black doesn’t have to be dull and depressing! Add a lamp, a simple vase of leaves or a collection of family photos to make them instantly pop on these darker furniture pieces. “Black is a great backdrop for showing off your favourite homeware.” Combining black with rattan is also very on-trend. This aesthetic l ends i t s e l f pe r f ec t l y t o the environment here, but also brings a more modern feel mixed with the traditional rattan.
