Where Do We Rank? Finding “me time” is definitely more difficult in some cities than others. A recent study by New York-based tech company Kisi evaluated 100 cities worldwide to determine the locales with the best work-life balance. Work hours, commutes, parental leave, holiday allowance, city liveability and air quality were some of the many considerations taken into account, along with the effects of COVID-19 on each city’s work-life balance in terms of economic impact, access to mental healthcare support and the location’s adaptability for remote working, among other factors. So, which city took the top spot? Oslo ranked as the city with the best work-life balance, followed by Bern, Helsinki, Zurich, Copenhagen and Geneva. Singapore came in at number 45 and, unfortunately for us, was ranked the fourth most overworked city! It came just behind Dubai, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur in that category.
