Celebrating SG57 In honour of Singapore’s 57th birthday and the annual Nat ional Day celebrat ion this month, global sports brand PUMA is back with two or iginal des igns as part of the SG City Tees Collection – “Hot Hot!” and “Durian Durian”. Head of Brand Design Jan Hippchen draws inspiration from local cultural elements such as the weather and the iconic durian; the “Hot Hot!” graphic tee is his punny and personal take on a Singaporean staple: the air-conditioning system, while “Durian Durian” alludes to the 1980s band with a very similar name and features three durian-head musicians performing live. Retail Revamp Design Orchard Retail Showcase, the integrated retail and incubation space that puts local designers in the limelight, has made several big changes. You can now visit the VIP Lounge for an exclusive personalised shopping experience, and there’s also a content creation corner, providing brands with a space to create virtual panel discussions, photo shoots, activations, live styling and live stream selling events. Perhaps the most noticeable change is the reimagined store frontage; a catwalk now spans the length of the Orchard Road window, allowing passers-by to view runway shows and exhibitions from the street.
