Balazs Toth, father of Nimrod

We moved here two years ago from Budapest, Hungary, where Nimrod had already been practicing judo in a big and famous federation. It was important to us to continue developing his skills and bring in a familiar weekly routine. We found The Dojo just next door to our condo. Nimrod started to attend Sensei Paula’s

JUDO Kids can unleash their physical and mental energy through the Japanese martial art of judo at The Dojo. A parent tells us more. JOY OF

classes, and you could quickly tell that they got along very well. His skills have improved nicely and he has gained more confidence – he’s able to execute more complex moves now. The Dojo is relatively small, which means focused attention on each student; this has contributed a lot to our son’s development. We’re happy that we found this professional and very friendly place where all kids count!

At JH Kim Taekwondo Institute, it’s all about “healthy body, healthy mind” – and enjoying sport at the same time. We hear from a parent.

James McKellar, father of Ariana (8), Serafina (8), Ophelia (6) and Aurelia (6) Ariana and Serafina do taekwondo with Master Lai Han Seng and his team in Bukit Timah. After four years, they just got their “poom belt” (junior black belt) – an outstanding achievement to get the highest belt. Ophelia and Aurelia started after wanting to follow their older sisters, and I joined them 18 months ago. The kids like to “play fight” – don’t all children! – but in taekwondo this is focussed on the steps they know and learn. They get a great feeling when they achieve the next belt – it’s reward for the hard work they’ve put in. JH Kim Taekwondo Institute is an excellent place for kids to learn focus, discipline and self-defence. It’s good for fitness, too, while being safe and structured. Plus, the lessons are fun, and the instructors are friendly and engaging, and very good with all ages – patient but disciplined.
