KIDS GUIDE 2019
BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS
Shaws Preschool What parents say Mishell Leong and Pascal Unternaehrer, Malaysian and Swiss; Marc (6) and Emily (3) feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I also really appreciate how the
principal and teachers never hesitate to take time out from their busy schedules to talk to us about our children on an ad hoc basis. I truly admire how they notice the little details about the kids and this makes us feel secure and confident that the school is our preferred choice of environment for our children’s fundamental years.
We chose Shaws Preschool mainly because of its reputation to be a good mix of the “Western” approach and the local. We were looking for a school that respects play and creativity, but were also conscious of the importance of a good and solid foundation in the fundamentals like Chinese, Maths and English. The kids love their friends, the playground (a big incentive to get ready in the morning), lots of outdoor play, water play and the food (I kid you not)! I think it’s beautiful how they learn about different cultures and build friendships with friends with families from all over the world. I truly believe that culturally-rich exposure is invaluable to their growing years and hopefully this will enable them to form long-lasting friendships across borders! I love how the school is so structured, organised and professional, yet offers a cosy family feel that makes you

I like Shaws because it’s very nice. My favourite is the playground, and Kids and Cash (the Shaws Financial Literacy programme) . We will work and get a salary!

The teacher is so silly when she reads
a story!
