ARE THEY EARNINGMORE?

HOME RENTALS - GETTINGEASIERON THE POCKET?

Expats are still primarily choosing condominiums to live in. They are now paying an average monthly rental fee between $3K and $6K; this has decreased from between $4K and $8K in 2015.

Our survey revealed that, compared to 2015, there are now more expats with an annual household income ranging from $50K to $200K and less of those earning between $200K and $500K. In general, it seems like more expats are earning less.

There seems to be an increase in Dependant Pass holders, but an decrease in Employment Pass holders. Does this mean there are less single imports now?

On t he up s i de , they feel rent and entertainment costs have gone down.

The majority of expats are still paying rent themselves, but we have seen a drop in the number who have their rent paid by their company, and a slight increase in the number of property buyers.
