GIFTGIVERS Smaller pieces to pass on as a gift to friends and family
These ladders are made from bamboo and recycled elm, using traditional Chinese joinery techniques and lacquer finishing. They make for a stylish way to hang towels in a bathroom,
or as a living room feature for hanging a favourite decorative textile.
Silk tassel-making dates back many centuries in China, and is often seen today during festive events such as weddings, and around Chinese New Year, as a sign of luck and fortune. This collection of tassels made with jade medallions can signify luck, fortune, longevity and prosperity.
These traditional blue-and-white ceramics are still made in the city of Jingdezhen, which popularised this style during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. All Chinese export porcelain must now be reproductions, as the government has forbidden the export of old porcelain.
