New Bites

• Started by the team behind the Chinese-inspired Sum Yi Tai, recently opened restaurant-bar CHIKIN (6 Bukit Pasoh Road), offering an array of skewers and house-made tipples. • Get your Mexican fix at Comida Mexicana (404 East Coast Road), a new casual restaurant serving enrollados ($18), carnitas ($32) and carne asada ($52). The 45-seater also offers a selection of desserts, including a hot chocolate Mexicana ($8), which contains 70 percent pure chocolate Ibarra cacao tablets from Mexico, grated into warm milk and cooked with cinnamon. • Cake store Lady M has opened an outlet in Scotts Square (#01-06/07). Exclusive to the branch is a special Lady M Rose Mille Crêpe featuring rose flavoured pastry cream, and sweet rose jelly and edible rose petal garnishing. • Bay Hotel Singapore has a recent addition to its dining offerings: Propeller Rooftop Bar (Level 11, 50 Telok Blangah Road); take in harbour views while enjoying signature cocktails, house wines and bar bites.

Foodie Feast From 5 to 12 October, Belgian Chef Alexandre Dionisio of Brussels- based, two-Michelin-starred La Villa in the Sky helms the kitchen for the fourth edition of this year’s Art at Curate , a special dining series at Curate, located at Resorts World Sentosa (Level 1, The Forum at Resorts World Sentosa, 26 Sentosa Gateway). Curate is Asia’s first restaurant to be headed by visiting Michelin chefs from around the world, and diners can expect Dionisio to bring his European classics with a twist, influenced by his Spanish origins. Prices range from $175 for a four-course lunch with wine pairing to $385 for an eight-course dinner with wine pairing.
