Indian Restaurant Shahi Maharani’s spicy Christmas delicacies are back! Reimagined with an Indian twist, the tandoori roasted turkey or chicken is marinated overnight and prepared with yoghurt, a special spice blend of fenugreek, cinnamon, fennel seeds, coriander, rose water and mint leaves, before being roasted in a tandoor oven. The dish is accompanied by a choice of homemade makhni (creamy tomato sauce) or mint yoghurt sauce. Another version of the dish comes stuffed with minced meat biryani that has been slow-cooked inside the bird. Meanwhile, the tandoori roasted whole leg of lamb is marinated in a special spice paste and slow roasted in a clay oven. Prices start from $85 and dishes are available till 1 January with three days’ notice required. Turkeys are available while stocks last! You can also enjoy a special Christmas lunch at the restaurant (from $58) from 24 to 26 December, featuring Indian street food, kebabs, curries and desserts.
